UC San Diego Global Seminars are summer study abroad experiences led by a UC San Diego professor. These programs are five weeks in duration. Students enroll in two courses for a total of eight UC San Diego units. Class sizes are between fifteen and twenty-five students, so there are excellent opportunities for interaction with some of the best professors at UC San Diego. All courses are taught in English, but several programs have some very basic, elementary language instruction to help students navigate the local community. The Programs Abroad Office assists students with advising, application, financial aid, predeparture orientation, and reentry issues. Special study abroad scholarships and grants are available. For more information, consult the UC San Diego Global Seminars section of the Programs Abroad website at http://globalseminar.ucsd.edu.
